Meet Our Doctors
Barbara Dyble
Dr. Dyble began her clinical work as a Medical Health Officer with the City of Vancouver, treating residents of the Downtown Eastside. After moving to Victoria in 1989, she established a family practice and co-founded/co-directed the region’s Sexual Assault Response Team. Since 1998, Dr. Dyble has worked as a family physician for students and their families at the University of Victoria Health Services, while remaining active in geriatric care as a medical coordinator for a long term care facility. In addition, Dr. Dyble serves on the Education Committee for CADDRA (Canadian ADHD/ADD Resource Alliance). She is also the owner of Functional Currents for Health, a frequency-specific microcurrent treatment clinic in Victoria, BC.
Since training with the Institute of Functional Medicine in 2005, Dr. Dyble has become an integrative medical practitioner. Always passionate about both preventive medicine and relieving suffering, Dr. Dyble uses this science-based approach for symptoms and functional impairments not fully addressed by conventional, disease-based care.
Dr. Dyble recently achieved fellowship in the College of Family Physicians of Canada in recognition of her commitment to lifelong learning.
