Services: Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy
What is Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy?
It is an innovative, scientifically based, therapeutic technology that offers
advanced pain relief and expedited healing times through a process known
as photobiostimulation. It is a non-invasive, painless, comfortable and safe
treatment. It is FDA and Health-Canada approved.
How does it work?
Our Class IV Lasers activate a biochemical cascade of events resulting
in rapid regeneration, normalization and healing of damaged cellular
tissue Photonic stimulation is the trigger for these metabolic changes.
In simpler terms, the laser brings light to living tissues. This process
causes damaged cells to repair more rapidly, inflammation to be
reduced and quickly reduces pain. The laser stimulates the growth of
an improved vascular supply in the region treated as well as
enhancing the body's immune response and creating collagen
formation to strengthen skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments.
Who should consider Laser Therapy?
People with chronic or unexplained pain generally experience true, drug-
free relief with laser treatments. Research also shows laser therapy to be a
remarkably effective treatment for acute and chronic wounds and sores
that won’t heal. The laser attacks the inflammation around wounds, while
the endorphins it stimulates can help to immediately ease the pain. It’s
also ideal post-surgery as it will decrease pain and speed the healing
process.
Is the treatment painful?
There is no discomfort from the treatment, simply a deep, gentle warmth
as your body’s cells respond to the light. There are no know side effects
and it is non-invasive therapy with long lasting results.
When will I start to notice results?
Over the treatment course, you will begin to feel results, most of the time
notable the same day, which means you will begin to feel much better -
even without pain pills or anti-inflammatories. Most treatments take only
5-8 minutes and the average treatment course in only 3 weeks.
Can Lasers be used to treat a smoking addiction?
If you’re ready to quit smoking, lasers can help by stimulating
acupuncture points on the ear, hand and knee. This helps to
dramatically reduce nicotine cravings in chronic smokers and helps
reset their metabolism to minimize the unpleasant symptoms of
withdrawal.
What about skin conditions?
Lasers are proven effective in treating skin conditions ranging from
shingles, ulcerations and eczema to psoriasis, acne and rosacea. Laser
therapy jump-starts the body's natural healing process by delivering
biochemical energy to tissues. This results in increased blood supply
and faster healing.

What can I expect during a Laser Therapy session?
A Valentus Clinics Certified Laser Technician will record a detailed
health history on your first assessment visit, administer therapy if
necessary and set up your personal treatment plan. Depending on the
area of treatment, you'll either lie down on a table or sit in a chair as a
painless laser light source is placed directly on your skin. You may
experience a warm sensation.
